Product Description

This potassium formiate-based deicer is particularly suited to private use in wintry conditions.
Applying this deicer prevents a bond from forming between the ice and the surface, and thereby facilitates the mechanical removal of ice from the runway.
The high melting capacity of UltraBlue KF allows it to break up and melt even layers of ice up to 8 mm thick.

UltraBlue KF can be used easily in existing systems.

Using UltraBlue KF you can significantly reduce environmental impact.
It is easy to remove, even in wintry temperatures, and has very low oxygen requirements for mineralisation compared to acetates (low Chemical Oxygen Demand, COD), which means that waste water is polluted substantially less than with other deicers.
It is free of nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, chloride and triazole, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly.

UltraBlue KF meets and even exceeds the standards established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for deicer fluids, such as environmental safety, technical standards, efficiency, and effectiveness, as well as the Aerospace Material Specification SAE AMS 1431, and is safe for use on runways, taxiways, and aprons.
